Christian Education

".....give attention to exhorting and to teaching.  Do not neglect the gift that is in you.  Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and your hearers."(1 Timothy 4:13-14;16)

The Board  of Christian Education had its beginning in teh early eighties, under the leadership of Dr. Miles J. Jones.  In order to organize an effective program in our church, Dr. Jones selected the Rev. Deborah Jackson to give leadership.  Rev. Jackson was an excellent leader,and very knowledgeable in the area of Christian Education.

The main purpose of this program was and still is to involved all members in our church ministries.  The fellowship groups were formed and organized to carry out this purpose.  The fellowship groups are as follows.  The Senior Adult Fellowship, The Mellows, The Rayach, The Young Adults, The Youth, The children and The Golden Circle.  

The following New Ministries were also organized to meet the growing needs of our members and the community at large: Health Ministry, Newsletter, Van Transportation Ministry, Outreach, and Tutorial Ministry.
