Theme for 2005:
“By the Spirit”
This is the word of YHWH to Zerubbabel, saying,
“Not by physical ability, nor by physical strength,
But rather by My Spirit,” says YHWH of hosts.
Zechariah 4:6
The Spirit of YHWH is upon me,
because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
to prolcaim the acceptable year of YHWH.
Luke 4:18
We are here by the Providence of YHWH. Some have walked on wearied legs, while others have run with youthful vigor. Some have journeyed over distant terrains, while others have crossed a few blocks. Some have had to negotiate many twists and turns, while others proceeded down straight shots to this place called Providence. Per chance, some have stumbled along the road, while others broke down. Even, some were detoured and thus delayed by distractions on the way, while others took an easier trip down the path that was paved with Grace. Regardless of the journey that a given individual has taken, it is no mistake that we have arrived here! In spite of the assorted circumstances of our individual journeys, we all are propelled by the power of YHWH and directed toward Kingdom-business at this point. In spite of the flaws of our traveling skills, we “travel by prayer” and “walk by faith.” By the Spirit we have come! Not just our legs carried us. Not just our eyes watched. Not just our hands held the wheels that have steered us to this point. By the Spirit we have come! Thus, our modus operandi, our raison d’être, our purpose at this point in our pilgrimage is pouring out the Providence of the Spirit of YHWH that has gotten us to this place! We have not come by our own means. Only by the Spirit have we come and only by the Spirit shall we reach our destiny!

Blessed Birthday, PPBC!!!
129 years by the Spirit!
Reflection on Our Theme for 2005
“By the Spirit”
This is the word of YHWH to Zerubbabel, saying:
“Not by physical ability, nor by physical strength,
But rather by My Spirit,” says YHWH of hosts.
Zechariah 4:6
The Spirit of YHWH is upon me,
because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
to proclaim the acceptable year of YHWH. Luke 4:18
It is our blessed privilege to participate in this place as representatives of YHWH. It is no coincidence that we are here: the Providence that YHWH provided and poured out upon us for 129 years has positioned and prepared us to touch this neighborhood in this hour of need with a healing that has never before been seen. Though we may seem weary, though our budget poses great challenges, though our resources appear meager in comparison to the tasks, know that it is not by our power or strength that we shall achieve, though our hands shall be involved. YHWH is now helping us in ways that we have never experienced and YHWH is showing His hands in ways that are now beyond our grasp. It is not because we have qualifications that YHWH must honor us, but because YHWH has qualified us with His Spirit, we must and shall announce to Providence Park that the kingdom of YHWH has come, business is no longer the same, salvation is in the midst of us, healing-time is here! Let us hold each other closely. Let us embrace each other dearly. Let us appreciate each other genuinely. Let us help each other sincerely. Let us love each other tenaciously. Let us sanctify each other eternally. jcr: 1-20-2005
